Testing of life-time, solderability, dielectric strength and insulation

 

Test - life-time, solderability, dielectric strength and insulation

Life-time tests are aimed at verifying the capability of tested product to satisfy the requested properties under test conditions for a specified time interval. Options include:

  • Long-term (up to 10,000 hours) tests of product life-time under temperature and electrical load (A.C. or D.C.). 
  • Product parameter measurements at specified time intervals and their continuous evaluation. 
  • Monitoring of set test parameters.

Solderability tests of component leads by wetting balance method & resistance to soldering heat. The test determines the solderability of leads of components and their resistance to soldering heat.

Dielectric Strength and Insulation Tests. Resistance of dielectrics to electrical breakdown or test voltage flashover is monitored as well as possible dependence on test voltage polarity and/or distortion of the result at repeated application of test voltage.

Environmental Testing and Testing of corrosion endurance

 

Test - environmental and corrosion endurance

The purpose of the environmental testing is to verify product / part / device endurance to be stored and transported under conditions of high or low temperature, humidity, air pressure and resistance to rapid changes of ambient temperature.

Life-time tests can also be undertaken in the specified environment with an option of electrical load.

Corrosion tests compare the endurance of products / parts / devices of similar design / make to the effect of salt spray and to detect the manifestation of salt corrosion on metals, their alloys, metallic & organic coatings as well as the degradation of non-metallic parts.

Test - mechanical resistance 

Test determine product / part / component resistance to the effects of vibration or repeated impact to detect their weak points or degradation. Tests can also be simulated for unpacked product to determine te results of spontaneous falls.

Calibration of length gauges (slide calipers, dial indicators), for this purpose the laboratory is equipped with an Etalon set of standard gauge blocks S 30014 (Range: 0 - 100 mm).
